Painting by Numbers - Penny Craig Trewin
Born in Mildura, Craig became interested in art and drawing at an early age and created a successful career as a professional artist. In 1970, his family moved to Victoria and Craig's love of art and artistic interests extended to ceramics and sculpture.
As an art student at Ballarat University, painting and graphic design took the bulk of his attention allowing him to pursue a successful career in illustration as a member of the Illustrator's Association of Australia for many years. Craig has skills in a variety of areas including computer graphics and has taught traditional drawing, illustration and digital drawing at Victoria University and Swinburne University.
Craig has never lost his love for traditional methods and specialises in watercolour, acrylic painting and illustration.
In 2001 Craig had his first major solo exhibition and since then has had numerous exhibitions and awards. His work has been accepted by galleries in Australia, Singapore, South East Asia and California as well as many private collections and is now in great demand.
