Pete Oswald is a New York Times bestselling illustrator and Annie Award-nominated animation production designer. He is best known for The Angry Birds Movie and the Oscar®-nominated ParaNorman film franchise, in addition to his many studio animated films. He is also known for his work as an author and illustrator of children's books, and as a painter.
Pete is an avid painter and is also active in the field of fine art. He recently presented a collection of paintings inspired by the California coast, in the pop-up art gallery exhibition, "Pacific Abstract." The exhibition, on view at Santa Monica Station in Bergamo, captures his observations in an impressionistic, graphic style. The series celebrates Pete's affinity for his favorite coastline, inspired by his personal experiences since moving from his native Utah to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University.
