Painting by Numbers - Darrell Bush

Darrell began his career working as an illustrator. He had the opportunity to work with experienced senior illustrators. It was during this time that he began to pursue a second calling as an artist. His career began in 1987, after winning two National Stamp Competitions for Minnesota and Idaho. In 1989, he began his career as a full-time painter.

His work has been acclaimed by art publications. Among others, USArt magazine named him a Rising Star in 1995 and Inform Art magazine listed him as one of the top ten most popular new artists in 1994.
Wilderness Art or Art of the Wilderness is the term that best describes Darrell Bush's work. Darrell has always shown a special interest in the history and rich traditions of man's involvement with nature. Light plays a prominent role throughout all of his art whether it be artificial or natural in the mood it creates and the story it helps to convey.
