Oswald Pete

Pete Oswald is a New York Times bestselling illustrator and Annie Award nominated animation production designer. He is best known for the film franchise The Angry Birds Movie and Oscar nominated movie ParaNorman, in addition to his many animated studio films. He is also known for his work as an author and illustrator of children's books, and as a painter.

Passionate about painting, Pete is also active in the field of fine arts. He recently featured a collection of paintings inspired by the California coast, in the pop-up art gallery's exhibit, "Pacific Abstract". The exhibition, presented at the Santa Monica station in Bergamo, captures his observations in an impressionist and graphic style. This series celebrates Pete's affinity for his favorite coastline, inspired by his personal experiences since moving from his native Utah to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University.
