Betty Carr

After graduating from San Jose State University in California, Betty taught painting, drawing, and sculpture in elementary and high school.

Betty's artistic style is marked by impressionism. Her use of color, light and shadow accentuates her subject while showing the artist's love for nature and its forms.

"What catches my attention is the effect light has on form in unique situations, whether fleeting, overwhelming, striking, etc. I challenge myself to capture its dramatic effects. "- Betty Carr

After years of teaching art in Colorado and California and developing her distinctive painting style, Betty and her artist husband decided to follow the sun to the southwest where colors and light are interesting.

Betty's paints are collected both privately and by companies and her work is accepted in many exhibitions with jury.

In addition, Betty was recently selected as a master painter of the "American Impressionist Society" (IALA)
